As you already know, reading is my superpower! I'm challenging myself to post a bit more about myself and bring it to at least one post per week. In my previous blog site (which no longer exists), I had created a category for these types of posts which I titled 'Pieces of Me' and I used it to regularly share something about me. I am now ready to take over that category once again and can't wait to share some amazing things with all of you, every Friday :)
It's been almost 3 years since I became a vegetarian and started on the path of living a mindful, healthy life. I fell in love with Yoga, meditation, and feeling energized and beautiful in my own skin. I love reading inspirational books that keep me on my tracks and had yet to come across a book that would open up my senses in so many different ways. I had seen a few articles about Kate Hudson's book Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body and even though I was really interested in reading it, I somehow let it go and forgot about it until last month. I went to my local library I picked up and I still wasn't sure on what to expect from the book. Needless to say, I loved it so much, that I'm buying it :) I'm really excited to give you my thoughts on this book and a few things that I really LOVED about it. In the midst of busy days, and hard work that we all have, it's quite easy for us to put aside things that we enjoy and that make us happy. I find that this book is a realization of just that...that even if we have really busy schedules there's certainly something we can do every day to feel better in our own skin, to enjoy life to the fullest and to build a habit of taking care of ourselves. It's a very visually appealing hardcover book with beautiful imagery, captivating text and activities, tons of inspiration and an easy to read eating well guide with tips on bulk meal prep, mindfulness questionnaires and a very interesting, easy way to begin a three-day Ayurvedic Cleanse. And that's not even half of what's inside of this amazing book! I highly recommend owning a copy of this book Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body by Kate Hudson and use it as a tool to begin, or stay on track, on living a healthy and mindfulness life.
