Booking Your Maternity Photos
You're officially a mom to be! You know this moment in your life is the best one you will ever experience and your belly is delightfully showing. You look amazingly beautiful at any time of the day and your baby nursery is already set up with those colors, baby theme and coordinates that you saw on Pinterest and fell in love with from the first time you saw them! (because, of course, we all love Pinterest!) You have just about everything and you're on the baby shower planning process. Well, guess what? There's one more thing left to add to your agenda...It's time for your maternity photo session! A maternity session is a very joyful time in which we capture memorable imagery during your pregnancy.
I personally think it is a must-have! An experience unlike any other. And just when you have made up your mind one of the first questions that come to your mind is..."When should I have my maternity session done?", followed by "What should I wear?." Don't worry, we got you covered! Showing off your belly is the main objective during your maternity session, but having fun while you're at it, and being totally relaxed, is our number one priority! The perfect time do your maternity photos done is right in between 6 and 7 1/2 months of pregnancy. During this time, your belly is beautifully glowing and you have little or no swollenness. The particular fact of being swollen is the number one reason women tend to overthink the possibilities of a photo session and it's just a matter of not being well informed.
Which is why we recommend a particular time frame and don't suggest doing the maternity photos further along in your pregnancy. During a maternity session, you can bring props, outfit changes with skirts and crop tops which look very flattering, and of course, daddy to be! The maternity session as a couple is now very popular amongst the parents to be. These are a favorite to have done during the baby moon :) As for us, we have traveled to beaches, rainforests, historical forts, botanical gardens, and all the in betweens, to photograph maternity sessions, and we love it! The ideal time to book your maternity session is during morning hours or late afternoon. Let's talk about your maternity session and how you can rock your belly pictures!
Pro tip: wear comfortable shoes (or none!) and bring water to keep hydrated during your session!
