Cypress Grove Park Engagement Session | Orlando Photographer

Wedding Planning and Photography

Most of you might not know, but while I was finishing photography school, I was also taking an event planning course and got certified as a wedding planner! I owned a wedding planning business long before putting all my energies into my photography business and being a wedding planner filled my life with lots of love and joy. I later on decided to go all the way into photography, and wedding planning has become a less part of my life as a professional. However, I used my skills to better educate my clients, as a photographer, thus resulting in many successful weddings and engagements! Being a wedding planner helped me with my client questionnaires and timelines. As a photographer, these are very important to ensure mayor success on your wedding day. And even 'till this day, these continue to play a huge part of the YN Weddings!

When To Book Your Engagement Session

YN Couples usually book their Engagement Sessions within 12-10 months prior to their wedding date. This means, that if you're a newly engaged couple, who recently said Yes! during Valentine month...you should already have your engagement session booked! Main reasons why I want you to book your engagement session with plenty of time in advance:

  • You will have time to order your save-the-dates and ensure that these arrive in time, and even have time to make any changes along the way. Save-the-dates should be sent out within 6-8 months prior to your wedding date and you want your engagement photos ready and set for these cards.
  • You can display your engagement photos on your wedding website. Wedding websites are really fun and you can use them as a guestbook, and even include your wedding registry! Wedding websites should be launched within 8-10 months prior to your wedding date, and there's no better landing page than that which features some of your favorite engagement photos for all of your guests to see!
  • If you're having an engagement party, you can do the engagement photos a week or so after the party. Mixing your favorite photos from your party and session, can also be very useful for any of the options above.

Cypress Grove Park Engagement Session

Stephanie contacted me thanks to a referral from one of my sisters. She had just recently got engaged and I was fortunate enough to receive her email and do her engagement photos. Stephanie and Ricky met at UCF (University of Central Florida), and although she had thought about UCF for her engagement session, being that it was a meaningful place for them, she then decided on Cypress Grove Park. She liked the setting of the park mostly because she wanted to do her photos closer to sunset, and have a romantic feel on her photos. I personally think that it was a perfect choice, the planning of this session went very smoothly, and the images came out amazing!
